Blog project

There are only 2 days left. In this level we did a lot of project. The most special project is blog project. In this blog project, I learn a lot and also improve a lot. Blog project gives us chance to konw each other and chage our idea. We communicte with each other through it. I also through blog to konw my classmates' idea in their writing. Any way, blog project is good for us.
Furthermore, blog is a good to study and communicate. I think this project Should be given mark.

1. Teenage online gamers have some social problem. They spend more time online than stay in school. I imitate the behivour in online game, such as viloent behavior. They also learn anti-social behaviour online, such as stealing in virtual world.
2. Neil Hooey has a struggle with online game. He has addiction to online game. Howerver, he spent 10 years for a chance to joiny computer science program at his universuty. Unfortunatly, he spent most of his time on game, when he decide to quit, it's too late for him. Neil getting hooked with online game, he can't live without it.

Reaction

After read this 2 article, I understand online game can affect people's behaviour.
According to Michael(2003), addict in online game is difficult to give up it. Spending long time online, will geting hooked.Online game is same as being addicted to gambling. They both have excitment and escape.
Accoding to Shao(2005), most teenagers are online gamers. They everyday spend lomg time on Internet. Howerver, they suffer from sme social problems. They less comunicate. These teenager feel vitural worlf are most exciting.
All in all, do not spend too much time online game.

Say"bye" to Research Paper

I feel happy that we finish our research paper. During this time, I learn a lot, I learn how to make a clear explaination, how to introduce the main idea, how to find a good information and paraphrazing.
I am satisfied with my paper. I have good information and good evidence to prove my idea. Furthermore, I have pictures to help me explain.
I will do the same thing, but I will add more information.

Feeling about my research paper

To be honest, at first I don't like my research paper because I have no idea about it, but now I feel much better. I will finish it as soon as possilble, and send it to Lisa. However, this research paper makes me strat hating chocolate.
Anyway, I am very enjoy it, I hope my writing can be improved through this research paper.

Discrimination

This morning, we watched a vedio about discrimination.
In 1984,Jane Elliot did an experiment about discrimination. She divided her class in 2 groups. 1 group was blue eyes,another group was brown eyes. She told her students that blue eyes were better than brown eyes in the first day, and the blue eyes students did well in their test. However, the blue eyes students stated discriminate to brown eyes students. On the second day, she switched them , she said that brown eyes are better than blue eyes. On the third day, she told them there was no diference between them, they are same. Also, she found hes students' mark got better.
In my opinion, discrimination is normal. If we want to stop it, we need spend a long time, becaus it is according to many facts, such as culture, history and so on. From this vedio, it tell us dont judge people from there apperarance, we should judge inside.

population

Last week, we finished our mid-term. However, it means we need to effort on research paper.
According to the vedio, i learned Japan is facing low birth rate problem because 2reasons. First, Japanese women become independence, they want to do something difference. Second, Japanese women have to go to work with their husband to make their life better. Also, the population of America growing very fast in recent year. The main reason of growing population is the imigrates.The growing population cause some probelms, such as, global warming and waste source.
The reading test is an eassy, the author wants to agrue with a book's author's opnion. In his eassy, he fix some mistake of the wrong opinion of population.
Anyway, i am pleased we finished our mid term.

Novel project

'Water for elephant' is the firt book that i finished in English. In last 2 weeks, i read it every night, and found it was interesting. Also, we wrote the book review and did the oral presentation.
In order to wrote the book review, i review the book once time. Mean while, I started realizing the most inportant things in the book and found the theme in the book- love and independence. To be honest, firt i read the book, i couldn't understand and i thought it is boring. after i finished some chapters i started loving it. With the book review, it let me know how to evaluate a book.
For the oral presentation, it is imprtant, we should work with our group member, we had to summarize together, then we divided in to 4 part, made the notes and organized together. In my part was summary of the story, it is not easy because i had to tell all the story in only 3-4 mins. Moreover, I have to improve myself.
In the end, we finished the novel project.

vedio summary

This vedio is a 2 hours long vedio, then cut it to 3 mins. A high school teenager ask the speaker a question which is 'what lead to success?'
The speaker said he couldn't give the answer, but he gave 8 points that link to success. First is passion,it means only love can make you success. Second is work, everyone need hard work, noyhing come easily. Third is good, you should practise and practise. Fourth is focus, meet everything you should focus it. Fifth is push, push and push, push yourself then you can succcess. Sixth is serve, you should serve other something of value. Seventh is idea, you need listen first, then observe, next to be curious and ask question. finally, is solve the problem and make connection. The last one is persist.
In my opinion, these 8 points are all very useful, especially in our live, when we feel shame we have to push ourselves don't be shame. This 3 mins vedio give me a lot of hints about success. For example, when i just came to here, i speak a little, coz i know my speaking is not very good, then my friends force me to speak,finally i have to push myself. Now, iam better than before.
